Can you fabricate from a photo, sketch, or old part?
Those are useful starting points. Critical measurements, material, mounting points, load, finish, and installation requirements still need to be confirmed before fabrication begins.
Is custom fabrication completed on site or off site?
It depends on the project. Some work is best fabricated away from the property and installed later; other work can be fitted or built on site when access and conditions allow.
Do you handle paint or finishing?
Finish expectations should be discussed during quoting. The estimate should identify what preparation, coating, paint, or final finish is included for that specific project.
